  • Introduction
    Durio zibethinus leaves 1.5-2 cm long, leaves oblong, sometimes obovate-oblong, short acuminate or acute, base rounded or obtuse, shiny on both sides, smooth above, with attached scales on the back, lateral veins 10-12 pairs, 10-15 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, bracts supporting calyx, shorter than calyx, calyx cylindrical, 2.5-3 cm high, swollen at base, densely pubescent on the inner surface, with 5-6 short and wide calyx teeth, The capsule is oval, pale yellow or yellowish-green, 15-30 cm long, 13-15 cm thick, 2-6 seeds per chamber, aril white or yellowish-white, with a strong odor. The flowering and fruiting period is from June to December.
