  • Introduction
    Punica granatum roots are yellowish-brown. There are many branches in the canopy, and the young branches are ridged and mostly square. The twigs are flexible and not easy to break. The primary branches are staggered on the vigorous twigs, with small thorns. Leaves opposites or clusters, oblong-lanceolate to oblong, or elliptic-lanceolate, 2~8cm long, 1~2cm wide, pointed at the apex, shiny surface, and convex midrib on the back. When ripe, it becomes a large, multi-chambered, multi-seed berry, the berry is nearly spherical, usually light yellowish brown or light yellowish green, the flowering period is 5~6 months, and the fruiting period is 9~10 months.
