  • Introduction
    Cicer arietinum is an annual grass or perennial climbing herb. 1-2 m high, stems erect, multi-branched, covered with white glandular hairs. The leaves are leaf-shaped, or have 3-5 irregular serrations or sparsely serrated lower margins. The flowers are solitary or twin in the leaf axils, and the peduncle is 0.5-2.5 cm long. The pods are oval, swollen, with 1-4 seeds. The seeds are pubescent white. The flowering period is from June to July, and the fruiting period is from August to September.
