  • Introduction
    Trifolium pratense stems stout, longitudinally ridged, erect or lying upright, sparsely pubescent or bald. The leaves are nearly ovate, membranous, with 8-9 veins on each side, the flowers are 12-14 mm long, the ovary is oval, the columella is filamentous and elongated, and the ovules are 1-2. The pods are ovate-shaped, usually with 1 oblate seed. It prefers cool and humid climates, and is best grown in areas where the summer is not too hot and the winter is not very cold. The growth of temperatures above 35 °C is inhibited, and yellowing or death occurs above 40 °C, and it is difficult to survive summer in Nanchang in high temperature and drought years.
