Macleaya cordata / Plumepoppy / 博落回

  • Introduction
    Macleaya cordata likes a warm, humid environment, prefers sunny places, likes fertilizer, is afraid of waterlogging, has strong drought tolerance and cold resistance, and does not have strict requirements for soil, but grows robust with fertile, loose and well-drained soil. The suitable growing temperature is 22-28°C. Erect herbaceous plant, up to 4 m tall, lignified at the base, creamy yellow syrup. The leaves are broadly ovate or nearly rounded, the back is mostly white powdery, often pale red, the capsule is narrowly obovate or inverted-lanceolate, 1.3-3 cm long, 5-7 mm thick, and the flowering and fruiting period is 6-11 months.
