  • Introduction
    Camptotheca acuminata is more than 20 meters high. The bark is gray or light gray, longitudinally fissured into a shallow groove. Branch-shaped, flattened, the annual branches are purple-green, gray slightly pubescent, perennial branches light brown or light gray, glabrous, with very sparsely cylindrical round or ovate skin holes, the capitate inflorescence is nearly spherical, 1.5-2 cm in diameter, often composed of 2-9 capitate inflorescences, apical or axillary, usually the upper part is a female inflorescence, the lower part is a male inflorescence, the peduncle is cylindrical, 4-6 cm long, the flowering period is 5-7 months, and the fruiting period is 9 months. It is often found at an altitude of less than 1,000 meters above sea level near forests or streams.
