  • Introduction
    Rosmarinus officinalis prefers warm climates, but grows slowly in the high temperature period of the flat land of Taiwan, and the temperature without cold snaps in winter is more suitable for its growth, shrubs, up to 2 meters high. The stems and old branches are cylindrical, the cortex is dark gray, irregularly longitudinally lobed, lumpy and flaking, and the young branches are quadrangular and densely covered with white stellate fine hairs. The leaves are often clustered on the branches, with very short stalks or sessile, the leaves are linear, 1-2.5 cm long, 1-2 mm wide, the flowers are nearly sessile, opposite, a few gather at the top of the short branches to form racemes, the stamens are 2 developed, born below the lower lip of the corolla, the filaments have 1 small tooth downward, the chamber is parallel, only 1 chamber can be fertile. Flowering period in November.
