  • Introduction
    Siraitia grosvenorii grows in the subtropical slope of 300~1400 meters above sea level, in the subtropical slope of the forest, in the moist area by the river or in the shrub jungle, climbing herbs; the roots are perennial, hypertrophied, spindle-shaped or nearly spherical; the stems and branches are slightly thick, with ridges, the initial yellow-brown pubescence and black verrucous glandular scales, and the later hairs gradually fall off and become nearly glabrous. Dioecism. Male inflorescence raceme, 6-10 flowers born in the upper part of the inflorescence axis, the inflorescence axis is 7-13 cm long, like peduncles, calyxes covered with pubescence and black verrucous adenoscale fruits spherical or oblong, 6-11 cm long, 4-8 cm in diameter. The flowering period is from May to July, and the fruiting period is from July to September.
