  • Introduction
    Panicum miliaceum likes strong light, heat, drought, barrenness, frost, moisture and waterlogging, and is a temperature-loving short-day crop, generally sown in dry land. The stalk is stout, erect, 40-120 cm high, solitary or a few clumps, sometimes branched, panicles, spread out or tight, drooping when mature, 10-30 cm long. The branches are thick or slender, the endosperm is 1/2 the length of the grain, and the umbilicus is punctate and black. The flowering and fruiting period is from July to September.
