Introduction
Raphanus sativus is a biennial or annual herbaceous plant with straight and fleshy roots, oblong or conical, green, white or red skin, glabrous branches, leaves large and pinnately semilobed, obtusely toothed, sparsely hairy, white or pink flowers, petals obovate, with purple stripes, longhorn fruit cylindrical, seeds ovate, reddish-brown, finely reticulated, flowering in April-May, fruiting in May-June.
