  • Introduction
    Nelumbo nucifera perennial aquatic herb with rhizomes transverse, thick, enlarged internodes, many longitudinal ventilatory channels, retracted nodes, black scaly leaves on top, and adventitious roots on the bottom. The flower colors are abundant, mainly red, pink, white, green, yellow, etc., and the flower types mainly include single petals, multiple petals, double petals and thousand petals. There are three types of lotus leaves, including the first floating leaves, the floating leaves that are born in the internodes of the lotus root belt, floating on the water surface and slightly larger leaf area, and the underground stems and petioles of the lotus have aeration channels.
