    Theobroma cacao is 4-7.5 m tall and 12-15 m wild and has a dense canopy, thick bark, dark greyish-brown, brown shoots, pubescent cover. Leathery, with distinct knots at both ends of the petiole leaves with short stalks, ovate-oblong-elliptic to obovate-oblong-elliptic, 20-30 cm long, 7-10 cm wide, apex long and acuminate, base rounded, nearly heart-shaped or obtuse, glabrous on both sides or slightly sparsely sparsely pubescent on the veins;
