  • Introduction
    Cynara cardunculus is 20-100 cm tall, branched in the upper part, the stems are grayish-white, densely hairy or depilated. The lower leaves are oblong-elliptic, 50 cm long and 35 cm wide, with petioles, the upward leaves are tapering, without petioles, all the leaves are gray-green above, achenes 6-8 mm long, 3-4 mm wide, oblong-elliptic. The crown hairs are multilayered, white, the crown bristles are serrate, 4 cm long, the base is connected into a ring, the whole falls off, and the flowering and fruiting period is July.
