  • Introduction
    Carica papaya is not branched or sometimes branched at the point of injury, with spiral-arranged leaf marks. There are male, female and hermaphroditic plants. Male flowers: arranged in panicles, up to 1 m long, drooping, berries fleshy, orange-yellow or yellow when ripe, oblong spherical, obovate oblong spherical, pear shaped or nearly round spherical, 10-30 cm long or longer, soft and juicy flesh, sweet in taste, flowering and fruiting period throughout the year.
