  • Introduction
    Dianthus caryophyllus is a perennial herb, 40-70 cm tall, the whole plant is glabrous, pinkish-green. The stems are clustered, erect, lignified at the base, sparsely branched at the top. Leaves linear-lanceolate, 4-14 cm long, 2-4 mm wide, calyx cylindrical, 2.5-3 cm long, calyx lanceolate, margins membranous, petals obovate, apical margin irregularly toothed, flowering in May-August, fruiting in August-September.
