    Lagenaria siceraria petiole slender, 16-20 cm long, with the same hairy perianth as the stem, 2 glands at the apex, leaves ovate-heart-shaped or kidney-ovate, 10-35 cm long and wide, not divided or 3-5-lobed, with 5-7 palmate-like veins, apex acutely pointed, margins with irregular teeth, base heart-shaped, curved and open, semicircular or nearly rounded, 1-3 cm deep, 2-6 cm wide, slightly pubescent on both sides, densely dorsal and veined.
