  • Introduction
    Allium fistulosum is cylindrical, hollow, 30~50 (-100) cm high, swelling below the middle, narrowing to the apex, about 1/3 less than the leaf sheath, total bracts membranous, 2-lobed; umbel-shaped inflorescence spherical, multi-flowered, relatively sparse; peduncle slender, equal to the tepal, or 2~3 times as long, without small bracts at the base; flowers white; tepal 6~8.5 mm long, nearly ovate, apex acute, with a pointed tip of the reverse fold, slightly shorter outer whorl; filament is 1.5~2-fold, conical, confluent at the base and attached to the tepals, ovary obovate, ventral suture with inconspicuous honey hole at base, columella elongated, protruding beyond the perianth. The flowering and fruiting period is 4~7 months.
