Citrus maxima / Pomelo / 柚

  • Introduction
    Citrus maxima has the tender branches, leaf backs, pedicels, sepals, and ovaries are all covered with soft hairs. The tender leaves are usually dark purple red, and the tender branches are flat and angular. The leaves are quite thick in texture, with a strong green color, and are broadly ovate or elliptical in shape. The fruit is pear or gourd shaped, with a slightly flat top and obvious rings and radial grooves. The base is narrow and elongated, forming a neck like shape. The flesh is crisp, with a strong and sweet taste, but less moisture, and there are many seeds. After the late October fruiting period, it belongs to the medium mature variety.
