  • Introduction
    Saccharum spontaneum is a perennial herb with a long, long, cross-developed rhizome. The stalk is 1-2 m high, 4-8 mm in diameter, panicles 20-40 cm long, dense, the main axis densely pubescent, the branches are weak, the base of the lower branches is more or less bare, erect or rising, the stigma is purplish-black, 1.5-2 mm long, protruding from the middle of the spikelet. Sessile spikelets are similar to sessile ones, sometimes shorter or apex tapering.
